Retail Sales

Description Primary Responsibilities:

Not only will you greet customers in a professional and personable manner, you will also use product knowledge to provide services to customers that will build your sales and increase your career advancement opportunities.

You will be assisting in the development of industrial footwear, apparel and accessory displays, stocking merchandise in the warehouse, preparing shipment, answering the telephone and handling other duties in the office as required by the manager. 

You will build lasting relationships with customers by contacting them to follow up on purchases, suggest new merchandise, and remind them of upcoming events.

The retail clerks in our Lehigh Outfitters stores are fully trained to cover vacations for Mobile Sales Representatives. This means you receive the training required by the Department of Transportation to operate a Shoemobile - a shoe store on wheels. Operating a Shoemobile requires driving a 26 foot straight truck to our customers' locations and selling a variety of branded products.   You will be on the road, as business needs or approximately 10% of the time.

 

Requirements

 

Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers and utilize good judgement in various situations

Strong organizational and follow-up skills

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings and closings to meet the needs of the business

Ability to travel 10% of the time and overnight as needed

 

Candidate is required be the primary back-up person for the Mobile Sales Representative position which requires driving a 26 FT straight truck (Shoemobile)

 

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background investigation and become DOT compliant.  A favorable motor vehicle record is required
