Job Description

The Fuel Transportation Coordinator will play a vital role in communicating strategies between various company departments, as well as with field operations, and perform as a liaison with multiple fuel carriers to execute the delivery of fuel product to specific retail locations.  The Coordinator will be involved in all aspects of the carrier and fuel terminal relationship which will include negotiating costs, site assignment, daily communications, score carding and monitoring carrier adherence to all Murphy USA policies, state and federal regulations.  Also, the position will require continuous analysis of daily costs, rates, expenses, and margins with the responsibility of identifying trends, maximizing opportunities and developing execution strategies, as well as supporting other departmental functions as necessary and assigned.  Position includes nights/weekends/holidays on a rotating basis.

Job Requirements

BA degree or higher

Fuel transportation experience is a requirement

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access

Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail

Strong ability to communicate verbally and written 

Superior interpersonal skills

 

Experience:

Minimum 2 yrs. experience in fleet dispatching, trucking logistics, and fuel management
