Description
Orbitz Worldwide (OWW) is seeking a HR Generalist with strong HR background encompassing employee relations, performance management and organization development.
HR Generalist (HRG) will be working in partnership with the HR Director, to partner with key leaders in the organization to align HR practices with current and future business needs. The HRG works closely as a strategic partner in implementing initiatives related to attracting, developing and retaining a talented and committed workforce by leveraging business relationships within the Human Resources team in the specific functional areas (i.e. Recruitment, L&D, Compensation and Benefits) and within the broader OWW organization, as a whole.
Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Employee Relations which may include employee counseling/coaching, issue resolution, conducting internal investigations and making recommendations to senior levels of HR/Technology Management teams as appropriate. Additionally, the HR Generalist will conduct exit interviews and track feedback and trending while providing feedback to Leadership regarding emerging trends or patterns within the Technology groups.
- Organization development/effectiveness and training including counseling leadership in team structure and conducting training session either live or via teleconference/webex, as needed.
- Provide guidance to management on issue resolution, corrective action, terminations and various employment topics such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, performance management and general HR policies and procedures
- Assist in administration of Talent and Performance Management cycle. These activities may include counseling employees on the common review date process and timelines, providing training to managers/employees on the Performance Review/Appraisal system (Success Factors) and performance review forms and reporting on and communicating form documentation processes within the system.
- Support the broader HR initiatives. This may include ensuring communication surrounding the OWW Rewards and Recognition program occurs within the Technology organization and partnering with leadership to drive participation in the program.
- Respond to inquiries from employees within the technology organization regarding HR processes and procedures, as well as day to day issue resolution in a variety of areas including payroll and benefits among other items
- Support the HR Coordinator in HRIS maintenance, as needed.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned or as identified.
