Description Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc., a leading marketer of small household and commercial appliances, has an immediate opening for a part-time Assistant Product Manager at its headquarters office near Richmond, Virginia.

This position shares responsibility for the growth and profitability of small kitchen appliances in multiple categories.  Led by a Group Marketing Manager, the position manages everyday aspects of business, leads new product projects from ideation through launch, supports sales teams, conducts analysis, and makes recommendations.  This position assists in leading a cross-functional team and presenting to management, sales, and customers.

Requirements The basic qualifications of the position include:  1) a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; 2) at least 3 years relevant experience in consumer product development and marketing; and 3) at least 1 year  experience as product team leader or member.

MBA degree and cross-functional teams experience preferred.  Experience in the consumer packaged goods or durables industries a plus.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is required.  

The successful candidate will have the confidence to ask questions and be proactive, with proven ability to deliver high-energy execution.  He or she must be a creative, results driven self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent technical, interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgment.  Local candidates highly preferred.
