Description

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for providing technical resources for problem prevention and resolution for equipment set-up, product quality, and equipment downtime.  This position also acts as a technical resource for tooling choice, sourcing, stocking, and maintenance.


Accountabilities:

·Establish and monitor appropriate process parameters to achieve quality and production requirements. Assist in training associates in machine set-up & operation

·Assist in developing appropriate process control systems, training production employees and in system implementation.

·Primary troubleshooter & problem solver on quality, downtime & efficiency improvements

·Assist in developing appropriate TPM control systems, training production employees and in system implementation.

·Establish, monitor & maintain appropriate tooling control systems to achieve quality, production and cost requirements. To assist in tooling design, sourcing, stocking decisions

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work area, keeping the safety of self and others in mind at all times.

·Maintains company and department quality standards.

·Assists in maintaining production goals, including flexible hours as required.

·Follows all established safety practices and procedures, including reading and understanding materials and safety data sheet.

·Makes decisions involving considerable ingenuity, initiative and judgment.

·Completes tasks that require continuous attention and frequent forecasting, planning, scheduling, and prioritizing.


Attributes and Characteristics

·Reads and uses adjustable precision instruments (metric and standard) (e.g.: micro-meters, electrical meters, gauges, calipers).

·Ability to record, understand, and retain necessary journals (e.g.: PM Log, fire system and test chronicle, work order files).

·Ability to read and interpret fairly complicated  formulas, charts, specifications, component drawings, blueprints, schedules.

·Ability to perform mathematical conversions using decimals and fractions.

·Strong knowledge of data entry and CNC programming.

·Three (3) years minimum similar manufacturing experience

·Ability to set-up and changeover cabinet making equipment.

·Knowledge of accepted procedures for the safe and proper handling of hazardous chemicals and materials.

·Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out, confined space, PPE, fall-protection policy and procedures.

·Knowledge of product and raw materials involved in cabinet manufacturing.
