Entry Level Inside Sales Representative

Chapel Steel, one of the nation’s largest steel plate distributors is seeking qualified candidates for an Entry Level Inside Sales Representative position for its Spring House, Pennsylvania location. 

This position will prospect leads, via extensive inbound/outbound telephone activity, to generate a new customer base.  Candidates must be highly motivated to succeed and have strong communication, telephone, organization and computer skills.  A typical work day could require 80-100 outgoing calls. 

Detailed Responsibilities:

·         Conducting outbound phone calls to target groups and prospect accounts

·         Methodically & efficiently qualify leads for future potential

·         Data entry and daily maintenance of  prospect software

·         Meet or exceed set call/sales goal objectives

·         Overcome customer concerns/objections

·         Large call volume is required

Reports Directly to: Branch Manager

Reports Indirectly to: Vice President of Sales

Education Level Required:  Bachelors Degree

• Strong computer and analytical skills
• Ability to utilize search engines via the internet for lead generation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
• Must be able to learn and get up to speed quickly
• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual
• Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
• Ability to prioritize work and manage numerous tasks
• Ability to resolve customer concerns in an expeditious and tactful manner
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to handle negative personalities with tact and maintain a positive attitude
• Must have a high level of determination and ability to handle rejection professionally
