Description
The Vice President, Finance –HCC division will work closely with the Vice President and General Manager, peers, and subordinates to provide strategic and technical guidance to the businesses in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of multiple business units’ financial statements, budgets and reports to grow the current and future business units. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and communicating financial and business data to senior Corporate and Division Management and play an integral role in developing the Division’s long-term business strategy. This leader will have ultimate responsibility for administering the Division’s accounting activities to meet the Corporation’s objectives for accurately and comprehensively gauging its operating performance. As such, he will also be responsible for implementing new processes (e.g. Lean techniques) to improve financial reporting procedures. This position will coordinate and collaborate closely with the Vice President of Finance for the Engineered Materials, Interconnects, and Packaging Division (EMIP) Division and will be the key financial leader for the Vice President and General Manager of HCC. And as a VP of Finance for the HCC Group, he/she is responsible for leading a staff, located primarily in California and Ohio

Qualification Requirements
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related major. Masters degree and/or CPA would be preferred.
He/She will have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in a manufacturing environment with experience providing Strategic Counsel to Senior Management and/or Executive Management in strategic planning, financial target setting, forecasting, budgeting, P&L management, cost savings, sales, financial analysis, and risk assessment, while offering enhancement or corrective actions where necessary. Must have had experience in strong cost accounting.
Multi-business unit experience required with an overall budget of more than 140 million.
In addition, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Sound understanding of internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance.
- Detailed understanding of both high mix, low volume and high volume, low mix operations.
- Must possess ability to construct complex financial models using computer spreadsheet programs to perform tasks including, but not limited to, sales and cost projections, profitability analysis, return on investment analysis, valuation and capital budgeting, sensitivity analysis, and various other cost analyses.
- Knowledge of various financial techniques in analysis (discounted cash flow, net present value, and internal rate of return) for capital project evaluations.
- Experience establishing and modifying business and accounting systems and integrating acquisitions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence others.
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
