Description

Maintenance Supervisor

 

Responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department, including managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget, and resources. Is responsible for managing multiple shifts of maintenance mechanics.

–Performs maintenance management by supervising maintenance personnel and establishing priorities in maintenance schedules

–Maintains manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget

–Provides training and continuous improvement development of all maintenance personnel

–Performs performance evaluations of direct reports at least twice per year

–Manages the development and implementation of Preventative & Predictive Maintenance programs and root cause analysis.

–Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs to plan

–Executes plant & corporate safety initiatives within the responsibilities of the maintenance department (training, audits, etc)

–Develop and deploy a skill-based structure in the department

-Establish methods to assess competencies and develop employee-owner skills by conducting training; one-on-one development sessions; outside technical skills training; etc, in a manner that will have a positive impact on culture and performance

–Ensure that maintenance department efforts are coordinated with plant operations

–Must be able to work a flexible schedule

–Will demonstrate, promote, and exemplify the Company’s core values in people, safety, and continuous improvement

 

Requirements

Experience

–Five years of maintenance management in a food manufacturing environment

–Preference for experience in the spray drying industry

–Safety management and risk management experience with an ammonia refrigeration system preferred

–Excellent communication and coaching skills

–Excellent technical knowledge of equipment and processes

–Self motivated, results oriented, and excellent personal skills

–Strong knowledge /experience managing maintenance through CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

–Strong background in HAACP, Safety, and GMPs

–Must have a hands-on work ethic
