Description
 The Company’s Marketing Leader – able to comprehend internal objectives and external realities to develop and execute effective, brand reinforcing marketing strategies to enhance the Company’s ability to successfully execute business objectives.  This position requires strong coordination and communications skills as well as a passion for creative thinking.  Ability to develop and implement annual budget and marketing plans, manage media relations and large scale, high profile events a must.  Position reports to the President and works company-wide to communicate and enhance the Akridge brand with internal and external Clients.
Requirements

Media Relations

 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the media.
  • Coordinate and strategize on appropriate responses to incoming media inquiries.
  • Pitch stories to gain feature coverage of major company news.
  • Seek and coordinate opportunities for Akridge to be used as spokespersons in articles related to real estate and the Washington region.
  • Write and disseminate Press Releases and ‘by line" articles publicizing Akridge transactions, company announcements to enhance and expand market perception of Akridge.
  • Monitor and communicate company press coverage.
  • Identify opportunities for Akridge to earn recognition through industry and professional awards.

 

Corporate Marketing

 

  • Standards

Ensure compliance with brand standards to ensure consistent branding throughout all graphic formats company-wide.

 

  • Collateral/Website

Manage staff and vendors to develop corporate marketing collateral and messaging. Ensure timely posting of new and updated content on website.

Maintain a library of all standard documents and information within updated standards and templates.

 

  • Client Events/Entertainment

Plan and implement corporate client events including but not limited to, Legg Mason Tennis Classic, annual broker dinner, closing dinners and investor outreach programs. Prepare event flow including speaker remarks for major events.

 

  • Advertising

Coordinate advertising schedule and ensure timing placement of WBJ and other advertising in annual schedule.

 

  • Holiday Cards and Gifts. 

Oversee the selection, production and distribution of client, investor, partner and vendor holiday cards and gifts including an annual original art commission.

 

  • Investor Relations

Write and coordinate production and distribution of quarterly Dateline Washington investor newsletter.  Assist with development of other investor communications, materials and events. 

 

 Community/Industry Relations
 

  • Manage all corporate sponsorships and organization’s participation in major community/industry events.
  • Work with business and professional organizations to gain recognition through sponsorships and speaking opportunities. 

 

Departmental Marketing Support

 

  • Leasing Marketing
  1. Create and coordinate marketing plans including the development of project naming, collateral material, events, signage, media announcements, broker awareness etc.

  2. Manage development and inventory of portfolio leasing collateral.

  3. Prepare and disseminate quarterly space available flyer and other broker communications.

 

  •  Property Management Marketing
  1. Create and coordinate marketing plan for all Property Management assignments including development of client communications, signage, building client events, etc. assist in the development and presentation of annual building budgets/business plans to investor partners.  Develop annual event schedule and ensure implementation.

  2. Assist property management department in management of building concierge program.

  3. Coordinate annual vendor appreciation event.

 

  • Business Development

 

    1. Support business development with proposal development and presentations.
    2. Work with development teams to strategize and implement proactive grassroots campaigns to ensure jurisdictional and community support of Akridge projects.
