Job Description

Purpose: To manage the annual financial plan process - including formulating and administering the budget - develop and formulate recommendations regarding the organization and administration of operating budget programs, and provide cost information for credit union products and services.  Manages the corporate travel program (Reports to VP, Financial Operations)

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE CAS/JOB COST ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE


 Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

    * Experience in planning and carrying out the preparation, administration, and analysis of budgetary programs for a large organization
    * Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and problems of  organization planning with regard to budgeting, cost accounting and fiscal management
    * In-depth knowledge of economic and financial principles and practices, financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data including Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB) standards
    * Thorough understanding of the implications of financial information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
    * Skill in determining how money will be spent to get work done and accounting for expenditures
    * Skill in identifying the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to problems
    * Skill in reading and interpreting various reports
    * Strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
    * Skill in guiding and directing subordinates in accomplishing detained technical analysis
    * Skill in communicating complex financial information, including oral presentations and the preparation of written reports
    * Skill in maintaining working relationships with organizational units within the credit union
    * Ability to work accurately with numbers and interpret statistical information

Additional Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

    * College Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
    * Designation as a Certified Public Account (CPA) or MBA
