Job Description

Summary Since Avante opened its doors in June 1989, it has given its residents consistent, dedicated and reliable care. Avante believes that a nursing and rehabilitation center should provide a pleasant homelike environment, with superior nursing and supportive services delivered by a professional, caring and friendly staff. Avante at St. Cloud, a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Florida, is seeking RN Wound Care Nurse. Ideal Wound Care Nurse will share our heartfelt approach to caring for the adult residents of our community. Will be responsible for recommending and implementing preventative interventions to prevent skin breakdown for immobile and inactive residents in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Must be a Registered Nurse.

Job Requirements
Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates must be motivated, compassionate, and professional.
  • Responsibe for completing Wound Rounds with MD and Care Plans.
  • Monitors and completes in-service as needed on dressing changes, new wound care equiptment and changes in orders for each resident.
  • Candidates with previous experience working in a Long Term Care nursing facility are desirable.
  • Must be able to supervise and instruct others.
  • Must have the ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel and support agencies.
  • Must be able to work on an on-call rotation schedule.
  • Must be licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
  • Positive attitude toward the elderly a must.
