Job Description

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) - PRN
Evening Shift (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.)

Explore the benefits of correctional health care with Prison Health Services at the Essex County Juvenile Detention Center in Newark, NJ.

We currently have a PRN position available for a Licensed Practical Nurse.

 

This position will evaluate and provide comprehensive nursing care in a correctional setting while observing and maintaining both the safety and security of the patients. Position will be responsible for implementing professional nursing services in a thorough and competent manner in accordance with stands, rules and protocols policies and procedures while demonstrating knowledge of pharmacology to include drug side effects and contraindications.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a Licensed Practical Nursing degree 
  • Active unrestricted New Jersey licensure
  • Minimum of one year of experience
  • CPR certification
  • Correctional health care or managed care experience is highly desired
