Position Summary:

The Customer Master Data Specialist will help Brady Americas evaluate current customer data, processes and technology in reaching our desired customer master information business objectives. A part of this role includes identifying opportunities for data and information architecture improvements, helping internal customers understand where different Customer Data management components fit and establishing business metrics to evaluate Customer and marketing data objectives. The Customer Master Data Specialist will create, audit, and maintain the Customer Master, Contact master and Distributor information. This position will also document audit results and seek resolution to master data issues and processes and communicate audit results and resolution to users and appropriate supervisors. In addition, this position will monitor and maintain Brady's global customer master records in SAP and any additional 3rd party database system(s).

Job Requirements:

  • Audit Customer master, Contact master and Shared Distributors.
  • Verify that standards are being followed for addition of new records, extending of new and existing records - per process & sub process policies. Verify that correct status and fields are being used to ensure integrity of data document, investigate, and communicate audit results.
  • Track & document master data cleanup and develop data management training material and approve training materials and other deliverables related to customer master as it relates to change management, and day to day customer master operations.
  • You will also create new customers and work with Sales, Credit and Billing, and Customer Service to insure accuracy of information.
  • Administer all necessary changes/updates to customer, product and related master data as required. Develop skills working with various audit/reporting tools-SQVI query programs, BW, Notes Database, TJ Group and MS Office. Review and develop auditing and mass change tools and data query pulls to audit master data appropriate to customer, contact, and distributor files. Analyze the impact of configuration changes to master data.
  • This will include definition of business rules, especially in relation to Customer information and information integrity.
  • Coordinate process of electronically updating customer master data - marketing data overlays, area code updates, merge / purge. Provide back-up support for Marketing Master Data Coordinator, cross training on many marketing master data product attributes and processes.
