About Us: 
Baskin Stevens & Freeland, PC is a medium sized CPA firm in north central Oklahoma is seeking a full-time tax accountant. Our firm is a growing, established, full-service accounting firm offering a unique opportunity for a CPA with at least 3 years of experience in public accounting. Our firm currently employs 12 in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and has been in business for over 40 years. We are located in a small town community of 25,000 within driving distance of three larger cities.

Tax Accountant Summary:
The position will concentrate on preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary returns, tax research and planning, and other types of accounting and auditing projects as needed.

Full-time employees are eligible for benefits and required to work 15-20 hours of overtime weekly during tax season, and limited overtime thereafter. There is very limited travel in this position.

Responsibilities of Tax Accountant:

• Daily duties during tax season will consist of preparation of returns for various entities.
• Duties after tax season will include write-up, reviews and auditing in addition to continuing tax services for our clients.
• The position presents challenges, valuable training, and opportunity for advancement.

Requirements for Tax Accountant:

• Detail oriented
• Knowledge and proficiency of computer systems and programs used in a business environment
• Able to manage time wisely while working with budgets and deadlines
• Possess good written and oral communication skills.
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, passed the CPA exam, and three years of tax preparation experience
• Microsoft Excel and Word
• Prior experience with Lacerte is a plus.
