The Sales Representative is responsible for procuring new customer accounts and servicing and maintaining new and existing customer accounts in a dynamic, fast paced and competitive marketplace. We are looking for motivated, upwardly mobile self-starters that will take ownership of the sales and marketing process in their territory, including all aspects of relationship management and customer service. College degree a plus and good communication skills are required. The Sales Representative must be available to take business calls from prospective and existing customers at all times to promote sales and provide the industry leading superior customer service that customers have come to expect as a leader in the $70B industry.
Responsibility:
Manage all aspects of the customer or prospective customer relationship, including initial contact, needs assessment, sales proposals or presentations as needed and follow up.
Provide customers with the highest standard of customer service that the brand represents to promote growth in the assigned territory.
Develop both strategic and tactical sales strategies, overall for the territory and for each account to set roadmap to achieve goals, including number of appointments per week, number of new accounts and target weekly/monthly closings.
Follow strategies and tactics communicated by the Regional Sales Manager and assist in establishing your plan and sales goals.
Maintain cooperative working relationships with all corporate departments to ensure you have the requisite sales support materials and that sales are processed efficiently for the customer .
Use the company's CRM software for sales tracking and customer relationship management. All information should be included in the CRM although regional sales manager may request an alternate reporting method on a weekly/monthly basis.
Coordinate and work cooperatively with the branch personnel to assure that work orders are being handled properly and timely.
Continuously evaluate competitive activity and improve on sales technique to attain new accounts.
Contact prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in person contact to obtain appointments for sales meetings and maintain a current list of light industrial businesses, a Construction Blue Book, Dodge Reports and classified advertisements at all times to assist with the Call Logs and the Daily Sales Call Sheets.
Maintain an awareness of the customers business environment in order to resolve customer service issues effectively.
Prepare comprehensive and effective sales presentations.
Inform the Regional Manager and obtain approval of all customer specific contractual and insurance requirements.
Procure approved credit applications and verified rate sheets from all new accounts before servicing the account.
