Description PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Coordinate and execute all operational tasks in support of the HR generalist function. The HR Coordinator is responsible for finding and/or developing streamlined processes to increase the efficiency of the HR department.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES:

1. Provide administrative support for the HR generalist function
• Manage the purchase order and invoice process
• Assist in the coordination of relocation matters
• Maintain department logs
• Process all employee life cycle paperwork
• Track, schedule and log 90-day post-hire and exit interviews for Advisor
• Update the organization chart as changes happen
• Maintain employee files

2. Provide support for Employee Relations work
• Assist in fact gathering and compilation of data related to investigations
• Arrange and attend meetings as necessary
• Write meeting notes and associated letters
• Respond to unemployment claims and attend hearings as necessary

3. Coordinate compliance matters (such as FMLA and Worker’s Compensation claims)
• Send appropriate Leave of Absence and FMLA paperwork as required
• Track receipt of paperwork
• Maintain Leave of Absence log
• Complete Leave of Absence schedules for payroll
• Assist with Worker’s Compensation claim administration as necessary

4. Maintain responsibility for full maintenance of the HRIS system
• Ensure all employee data is current and correct
• Produce reports as requested

5. Create and assemble data for department KPIs and various ad hoc reports
• Compile information from various sources
• Produce information in a presentable format

7. Fulfill other duties as required
• Special projects as directed by manager
• Relish the opportunities to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
• Ability to take initiative to think outside the box and identify opportunities for improvement
• Identify problems and find solutions
Requirements

INDIVIDUAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in business or Human Resources
• Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative role in an HR department required


Skills and Competencies

• Strong relationship building skills
• The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Superb attention to detail
• Analytical ability
• Ability to create and maintain control procedures
• Self starter with the ability to work independently
• Must be adaptable to a fast paced and changing department
• Ability to obtain and analyze data to produce reports and documents for HR Advisor
• Advanced skills in Word, Powerpoint and Excel required
• Ability to produce charts, graphs, pivot tables preferred
• Experience with Visio preferred
