Job Description
Urology of Indiana is a premiere specialty practice serving Central Indiana with optimal patient care. We offer an excellent benefit package including PTO, 401(k), profit sharing, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.

Job Description:              PART TIME 15 hrs per week

 

1. Pull patient’s charts daily for the following day’s scheduled appointments. Should strive to be 2-3 days ahead.

 

2. Pull charts, as requested, for physicians, departments, patients, medical offices, insurance companies and attorneys.

 

3. File appropriate lab work to each chart and distribute in accordance with the procedure for given situation.

 

4. Fax medical records daily to the various offices as requested.

 

5. Distribute incoming faxes that arrive five to six times during the day to the various departments.

 

6. File daily all returned medical records back into the system.

 

7. File all individual documents into the appropriate medical record or log.

 

8. Prints daily medical reports. i.e., lab; X-ray reports, discharge summaries, op notes, etc. and distribute or file as indicated.

 

9. Assists with collection write-ups as needed days ahead.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent Medical Records or Clerical Training; Computer literate; medical terminology course(s)

 

Experience: strong medical records experience in a medical office setting or hospital preferred; strong medical terminology understanding; and prior clerical experience
