WELDING/ROBOTICS ENGINEER

Valmont Industries, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of mechanized irrigation equipment for agriculture.  We currently have an excellent opportunity available for a Welding/Robotics Engineer in our McCook, NE facility.  Located in Southwest Nebraska we offer a family friendly atmosphere with excellent schools and some of the best hunting opportunities in this part of the country.

Job Responsibilities:  Researches and develops new tools, processes, machines, and equipment and integrates the facilities and systems for producing quality products with optimal expenditure, including Robotic Cell set-up and programming.  Improves the manufacturing process and methods of production of various products.  Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in the manufacturing plant.      

Minimum Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology, or other applied discipline.  A minimum of three years experience in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, specifically including welding and robotics experience. Motoman Robotic experience a plus.  Will have working knowledge and proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook).  Experience in robot integration, programming and robotic control and applications.  Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with all levels of workforce and management.
