Director, Quality - Global

Director, Global Quality will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) and execution of the organization’s long term strategy regarding quality.  To develop, implement and audit quality policies and procedures in compliance with industry standards. 

•  Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with applicable industry standards.    

• Work with senior management to strategically develop and align Quality Management System priorities and activities.  

• Communicate Quality principles and practices throughout the organization and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and work with functional leads and ensure effective implementation of Quality Management System, including Engineering, Suppliers, and Manufacturing.

• Work closely with Continuous Improvement Managers to integrate quality processes and continuous improvement methodology based on Lean principles and practices focused on process standardization, built in quality, waste elimination and continuous improvement..  

• Conduct industry research regarding Quality and Quality Systems to insure company remains current in the area of quality. 

• Work with functional leads to create quality environment including technical quality and cultural quality to further enhance how quality is applied within company.  

• Requires a BS Degree, preferably in Engineering, Quality Management or Business Systems.  ASQ Certification (CQE, CQM, CQA) is desirable.  A Masters Degree is preferred in Business, Management or Engineering. 

• 10 + years experience in multinational companies in either Quality or Supply Chain management

• Hands-on experience developing quality system within a global organization.   

• Master process quality knowledge (6-sigma, at least Green Belt, Black Belt will be preferred), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Lean Production, FMEA, Problem solving method, Product Quality Assurance

• Must be culturally sensitive and work well with others in a team structure and have experience in leading cross-functional teams in accomplishing goals. 

• Must possess effective communications skills, both oral and written for all levels of the organization.

• Preferred industry experience in construction, off road, heavy industrial equipment, trucking, or agriculture equipment.
