Our client, the Private Investment Management area of a Global Investment Bank located in midtown NYC, needs a Project Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

This role is for a VP level PM resource to support the Financial Systems Initiative. The program is a large scale, multi-phase and multi-year undertaking driven by the CFO to define and implement a new strategy for Finance Systems across all areas of the firm.

 

·         Perform as a team member on a fully operational Program Management Office with best practice business processes for but not limited to:

  • Status reporting

  • PMO infrastructure

  • Governance

  • Quality management

  •  Impact management

  • Program communication

 

Requirements
  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills including creating well executed executive management materials
  • Create status reports & key program metrics, must be highly skilled in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of SDLC lifecycle and processes
  • Experience in issue, risk and change management
  • Experience in managing others

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum four to six years Project Management Experience on large global financial programs. Person should have played past roles as described in the Job Description

  • Ability to be extremely detail oriented, have an eye for finding anomalies and work
    in the lowest level of data of a task

  • Must have strong facilitation skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment

  • Power user in the following Microsoft applications: PowerPoint, Excel & Word. Project a nice to have

  • Ability to manage minutes from key meetings including summarizing decisions reached and tracking of action items and their owners
