If you have at least 2 years cash application experience within the healthcare industry, preferably a hospital setting, then we need to talk. You will need hands-on knowledge and experience of the cash applications function including electronic and manual payment posting, credit balance resolution, refund processing and daily cash deposit/posting reconciliation and knowledge of payer contracts and ability to read and analyze explanation of benefits and remittance forms. The position involves accurate posting of payer denial transaction to ensure appropriate and timely appeal processing; retrieval and processing of electronic remit files (835) into host system; analysis and resolution of payment posting errors including 835 electronic posting rejections.; daily payment and adjustment posting including zero payment positing for all payments received including payments received by external vendors or affiliated providers.
