There are three types of positions within the Locum Tenens Division:
1. Client Developer (CD)
2. Client Developer/Client Representative (CD/CR)
3. Locum Tenens Recruiter/Physician Representative (LTR/PR)
The job descriptions are as follows:
1. Client Developer (CD): This at-will position for a Client Developer will acquire new clients for CompHealth who have the need for a locum tenen physician in a temporary assignment capacity. The Client Developer will contact and follow-up with prospective clients through a variety of marketing sources such as the internet, medical journals, referrals and other leads generated by CompHealth’s marketing efforts. Adheres to company mission and values.
Job Duties
Essential -
- Contacts all new client leads to introduce the advantages of CompHealth temporary assignment services.
- Negotiates the recruitment, interviewing, marketing and hiring of candidate to place with existing clients.
- Maintain an appropriate amount of contact with new and existing clients in order to update and influence decisions to use CompHealth the client’s temporary assignment needs.
- Client Developer will be required to make a minimum of 60-70 calls per day to accomplish team objectives.
- Maintain and update all client development information in an in-house computer database.
- Maintain an appropriate amount of clients per month.
- Present CompHealth’s temporary assignments services to available or considering clients.
- Ensure smooth transition for new clients when using temporary services for the first time.
- Negotiate physician contracts consistent with gross margin objectives.
- Meets all production and sales goals as set by management.
- Other projects as assigned by management.

- Accurately manipulate information utilizing a large-scale database system.
- Professional level written and oral communications skills.
- Effective negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate and understand professional level service needs, client practice, and physician credentials.
2. Client Developer/Client Representative (CD/CR): This at-will position for a Client Developer/Client Representative (CD/CR) will acquire new clients for CompHealth that have a need for locum tenens physicians. The CD/CR will contact, develop and follow up with prospective clients through a variety of sources such as the internet, medical journals, referrals and other leads generated by CompHealth’s marketing efforts. In addition, the CD/CR will maintain assignments of active clients currently using CompHealth locum tenens physicians. The CD/CR will successfully interact with the LTR/PR to make the match between the client and physician. Adheres to company mission and values.
Job Duties
Essential -
- Contacts all new client leads and existing clients to introduce the advantages of CompHealth temporary assignment services.
- Responds to client inquires regarding Locum Tenens Services and contacts new and clients to solicit business.
- Negotiates the recruitment, interviewing, marketing and hiring of candidate to place with existing clients.
- Writes client contracts and ensures client execution of contracts.
- Assists in developing marketing strategies.
- Collaborates with Physician Representatives in filling old days within appropriate profit margin range.
- Ensures completeness of assignment related tasks; travel housing, payroll, licensing, credentialing.
- Meets all production goals as determined by management.
- Other projects as assigned by management.

3. Locum Tenens Recruiter/Provider Representative (LTR/PR): This at-will position for a Locum Tenens Recruiter/Provider Representative (LTR/PR) will acquire new physicians for CompHealth with locum tenens assignment interest and availability. The LTR/PR will contact, develop and follow up with prospective physician recruits through a variety of marketing sources such as the internet, medical journals, referrals and other leads generated by CompHealth’s marketing efforts. In addition, the LTR/PR will maintain the schedules of active physicians working locum tenens assignments with CompHealth. The LTR/PR will successfully interact with the CD/CR to make the match between the client and the physician. Adheres to company mission and values.
Job Duties
Essential -
- Use proactive and assertive sales techniques on all new physician leads and/or residents to introduce the advantages of CompHealth temporary assignment services.
- Successfully recruit Physicians to contract with Comp Health on a locum tenens basis.
- Maintain an appropriate amount of contact with new and existing physicians in order to update and influence decisions to work temporary assignments with CompHealth.
- Physician Recruiters will be required to make a minimum of 60-70 calls per day to accomplish team objectives.
- Maintain and update all physician recruiting information in an in-house computer database.
- Maintain appropriate amount of recruited physicians per month.
- Present temporary work assignments to available or considering physicians.
- Ensure smooth transition for new physicians into locum tenens service.
- Meet all production goals as set by management.
- Responds to physician inquiries regarding Locum Tenens opportunities.
- Acts as single point of contact for physicians, coordinating all aspects of physician sales and service.
- Uses proactive and aggressive sales techniques over the phone to recruit physicians to contract with CompHealth
- Negotiates the recruitment, interviewing, marketing and hiring of candidate to place with existing clients.
- Persuades existing physicians to contract for additional days with CompHealth.
- Establishes and maintains communication and rapport with physicians to encourage a long-term working relationship with CompHealth.
- Facilitates placement of physicians into client’s medical by matching physician skill level, licenses, preferences, board status and credentials.
- Negotiate physician contracts consistent with gross margin objectives.
- Other projects as assigned by management.

- 40 wpm type speed.
