Unity Health System provides a complete network of health care services from the Unity Park Ridge Hospital Campus in the town of Greece, the Unity St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, and at numerous other sites throughout Rochester and western Monroe County. Services include inpatient and outpatient hospital care and surgery, a family birth place, women’s health services, chemical dependency and mental health, physical medicine and rehabilitation, adult day health and home health programs for older adults, retirement communities, child care, and laboratory services, among many others.

  

We’re looking for mature and reliable individuals to fill the following position:

  

  

•  Healthcare Lean Six Sigma Manager 09-0630

 

This position (as part of the operational process improvement team) will work with department leaders & teams to identify and execute activities within their areas which will improve productivity, eliminate waste, enhance patient safety and/or reduce overall costs. A key responsibility of this position is to train and coach leaders and process improvement team members on Lean and Six Sigma method, Change Management and Project Management.

Requirements

This is a FT 40 Hour Per Week Position

 

 

Preferred Education
Bachelors Degree
 
 
Preferred Experience
6-10 years of responsibility for managing continuous improvement projects and coaching and mentoring Lean Six Sigma project teams.
Experienced at classroom delivery of Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt training.
Demonstrated successful application of Lean Six Sigma and Change Management: Proficiency at leading and facilitating kaizen events. Effectiveness at driving operational results through project execution.
Working knowledge of Quality Systems and applied Statistics.
Health Care experience preferred.

Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter; recognizes next steps and pursues logical paths to achieve results without continuous oversight.
