Aetea Information Technology is looking for hands on Project Manager to work on-site at one of our prestigious financial clients in the Wilmington, DE area.  This is a 6-month long consulting position.

Candidates must have the following background/ experience:

-          Financial/Card Services experience

-          Agile experience

-          Infrastructure PM work

-          Project Management work needs to be hands on (no program managers or PMO leads)

-          They must have worked multiple/simultaneous short term infrastructure projects.

-          Must be assertive while working effectively in a highly matrixed environment

-          Excellent communication skills- written and verbal

Requirements

 

·         Defining and Managing the overall work plan to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within budget. Identifying, tracking, managing and resolving project issues. Proactively disseminating project information to all stakeholders. Identifying, managing, and mitigating project risk. Ensuring that the solution meet’s quality goals.

·         Proactively managing scope to ensure that only what was agreed to is delivered, unless changes are approved through scope management. Defining and collecting metrics to objectively track how the project is progressing and whether the deliverables produced are acceptable.

·         Assisting with change management requests as appropriate.

·         Continuous feedback to Project Management Processes and Tools to support continuous improvement efforts.

·         Participate in design sessions and provide feedback. To manage projects, a person should be well organized, have great follow-up skills, be process oriented, be able to multi-task, have a logical thought process, be able to determine root causes, have good analytical ability, be a good estimator and budget manager, and have good self-discipline.

·         Communication: Cross-functional communication and influence skills.  Ability to “make the complex simple" and adjust project status message to audience.   Develop partnerships with business colleagues and vendors. Communicate appropriately and efficiently with executive management, customers, vendors, peers, teams. Project Management.

·         Ability to manage project and release managers, business analysts, developers. Ability to mitigate risks and bring issues to closure. Understand and manage to the big picture as well as drill down as necessary with great attention to critical details.

·         Demonstrate strong leadership.  Sustain a team-oriented, fast-paced and innovative environment. Technical Knowledge. Ability to work with a range of functional areas (e.g., marketing, technical operations, quality assurance, information security).

·         Break complex business visions into smart incremental technology deliverables in order to ignite projects and sustain rapid deliveries.
