WAREHOUSE, PART-TIME 'ON-CALL'

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

·        High School Diploma or G.E.D certification.

·        Minimum 1 year experience working in warehouse/distribution center environment.

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICS ABILITY:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is required to continuously use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.  Reach with hands and arms, talk and/or hear.  The Associate is frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.  The Associate is occasionally required to stand, climb and/or balance.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.  The Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate will work and walk near moving mechanical parts, including hi-lo equipment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  Full leather boots with steel toes are required in the warehouse environment.  Environmental factors of each normal workday is normal temperature, normal humidity, warehouse odors, and dust.
