Tank Inspector

Location:                    Seast Texas

Salary Range:         Commensurate base + bonus (based on years of experience)

FUNCTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS:

Position is responsible for the mechanical integrity of aboveground storage tanks in accordance with API 653, API 650, and API 581 Risk Based Inspection. Position will be responsible for inspection of aboveground storage tanks, evergreening tank RBI, and developing scopes of work for tanks and off site piping. Will be required to develop tank inspection scope options for consideration by internal business unit customers and perform and/or coordinate tank inspections. Position also has responsibility for analysis of UltraPipe and RBI data in support of fixed equipment scope of work development, and for supplying internal customers with inspection and repair recommendations in support of routine maintenance. API 653 and API 570 certifications required. API 510 must be obtained within the first year of employment if not already certified.

 

SPECIALIZED SKILLS:

·         Requires a High school diploma or equivalent minimum.  BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

·         API 653 Tank Inspector certification with a minimum of 5 years experience as a tank inspector

·         API 570 certification.

·         Corrosion monitoring of piping using Ultrapipe or equivalent.

·         Prefers experience with Risk Based Inspection, Tap Root Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis,

pressure vessel calculations, using PVCalc or equivalent.
