Job Description 


100-bed not-for-profit hospital in western Washington is looking for an
experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager.

The ER Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the
Emergency Department, Trauma Center, and After Hours Clinic.

~ Hiring, firing, staffing, orientation, and education of staff

~ Budgetary responsibilities

~ Evaluation and counseling of staff

~ Sets departmental goals, problem solving and professional development

~ Disciplinary actions and reprimands

~ Designs and implements policies and procedures, as well as quality assurance

~ Collaborates with other managers, directors, physicians and hospital staff

~ Monitors and evaluates patient care

~ Assures safety of staff, patients and family members

20 Room Emergency Department seeing over 35,000 patients annually

45 FTE's

Level 4 Trauma





 

Job Requirements 

1) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred, must be in the process
2) Must be a Registered Nurse with Washington State RN Licensure, or ability to obtain immediately
3) BLS, ACLS, and TNCC required
4) PALS or ENPC required
5) At least three (3) years supervisory with at least one (1) year at Manager level of recent Emergency Room experience required
6) Five (5) years of supervisory with at least three (3) years at Manager level preferred
7) Education experience preferred
