Job Description

Myriad Genetic Laboratories is seeking a creative and energetic individual with a background in oncology nursing or pharmacology to provide support for our growing line of personalized medicine products.  This individual will join a team of laboratory based and field-based genetic counselors, nurses and medical oncologists educating and responding to inquiries from healthcare professionals.  There will also be an active role in product development and research.  This is a contract or consulting position.

 

 

Duties of this position include:

1)Daily interactions with healthcare providers regarding the utilization of personalized medicine oncology products, particularly the OnDose test for optimization of infusional 5-FU chemotherapy.
 
2)Work as part of a team optimizing laboratory procedures for efficient and reliable processing of tests.  Develop and execute training programs for staff.

3)Participate in all aspects of Myriad’s ongoing effort to develop and market personalized medicine products, including identification of new product opportunities through research and literature review.

 



Job Requirements

Applicants should have a background in either oncology nursing or pharmacology, with experience in chemotherapy.  Individuals should hold licenses and/or certifications relevant to their professional background.  Past experience in a Medical Science Liaison position is a strong plus, but not required.
