Job Description

Thorek Memorial Hospital is a stable community hospital with its roots in Chicago for almost 100 years, committed to excellence in patient care and serving our community, and committed to the continued learning of our employees. We are currently seeking an Operating Room Nurse (OR RN).

The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure.

Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm, M-F

Job Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Minimum one year previous OR experience preferred
  • Current Illinois License as a Registered Nurse. Current in CPR, ACLS and/or CNOR preferred.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
  • Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse.
  • Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills.
