General Responsibilities:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the entire production area to ensure that products requested by sales department are manufactured at its entirety and in compliance with GMPs, and applicable production plans prepared by the Production Coordinator.  Production Supervisor must monitor and enforce the Company’s standard operating procedure and other policy and procedure to include compliance to product specification, QAQC standards, food safety, food security, sanitation procedures to make sure Line Leaders adhere to good manufacturing practices. Production Supervisor is also responsible to supervise and manage the efficiency of each production line assigned to the Production Line Leader and under the Production Line Leader’s guidance realign different tasks to the processing line in order to eliminate bottleneck and control raw material usage and wastes.   The Production Supervisor is responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating of all Production Team Member and Line Leaders.

 

The following are the duties of the Production Supervisor:

 

1.      Oversees all pre and post manufacturing cleaning and sanitation activities to ensure a bacterial free environment in compliance QAQC standard to include GMP, SSOP, and Food Safety guidelines.

2.      Interview, hire, train, discipline, transfer, and terminate of all Production personnel except for the Production Manager.

3.      Manage the Production Team to ensure products are produced with the highest standard of quality based on Company product specification and QAQC requirements.

4.      Manage the entire production area to strive for high efficiency in order to meet Company’s Key Performance Index and Efficiency Performance Index as well as meeting daily production quantity required.

5.      Participate in Safety meetings and assist Safety Coordinator in implementing work practices following the guidelines of OSHA standards and to promote an injury free environment.

6.      Participate in HACCP meetings, monitor HACCP critical control points (CCP), and implement corrective actions as required. 

7.      Responsible for controlling employee’s working hours and schedules.

8.      Responsible for following specifications of raw material and finished products to ensure products are manufactured under the correct specifications and formulation pre-set by R&D and QAQC.

9.      Train and re-train new and current employees in equipment and production process procedures.

10.  Responsible for putting together samples for various customers.

11.  Check smocks and aprons are properly used and counted.

12.  Oversee the preparation of all raw materials for the next production day.

13.  Monitor the raw material usage during daily production to avoid waste.

14.  Enter the total raw materials used and finish product packages produced daily into Production Analysis Management (PAM) software to assist IT Department in calculating accurate raw materials usage and yield based on production quantity.

15.  Reports to Production Manager in regards to daily production activity including payroll deduction and adjustments.

16.  Coordinates with Line Leaders to separate the products in different finish good storage areas based on customers, SKU#, and transfer routes.

17.  Perform other duties as assigned.

1.      Ability to read, write, speak Spanish and English.

2.      Ability to lift minimum of 30 lbs.

3.      2 year of supervision experience in related field.

4.      Must show good people skills and able to multi-task and work under pressure and good organizational skills.
