Description

Gannett Digital Ventures, a corporate division of Gannett Co., Inc., is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our outbound tele-sales center. which sells CareerBuilder.com and other employment advertising products, in Gannett newspaper markets around the country.

 

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will consult with small and medium-sized businesses in a defined territory by identifying their specific recruiting and staffing needs and fulfilling these needs by providing CareerBuilder and other advertising products.

 

The ideal candidate must have a high sense of urgency, be a self-motivated over-achiever and have a strong desire to succeed.  Business-to-business tele-sales experience is a big plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Grow client base by making 70+ cold calls per day using leads we provide
  • Conduct telephone presentations to demonstrate products features and benefits
  • Create unique product combinations and solutions to meet each clients' needs
  • Generate revenue to meet monthly quota by closing new accounts and growing accounts you’ve already sold
  • Develop loyal and long-lasting relationships through personal attention and follow-up
  • Understand current trends within the online recruitment industry, and inform clients why CareerBuilder.com and Gannett newspapers are the best solution

 

 

Requirements
  • Excellent verbal communications skills.  Must be articulate and persuasive over the telephone.
  • Must be aggressive and fearless!  Cannot be intimidated by developing a sales territory through cold calling.
  • Highly organized and disciplined self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have the drive to exceed expectations and outperform your peers.
  • PC and Internet proficiency, including MS Office and Outlook.
  • 4-year college degree preferred.
