This well-funded, early stage company has developed a technology that represents a significant breakthrough in the field of water treatment, which can remove impurities from water to the single parts per billion level and below. The technology has been demonstrated successfully at several major industrial locations. The company is now developing commercial systems for use in the mining, energy, oil & gas, and nuclear waste water remediation industries.

 

The COO will be responsible for executing the successful transition from laboratory/prototype phase into commercial implementation.  The COO will provide the necessary leadership to grow the Company into a global leader in the purified water space. 

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience COMMERCIALIZING water technologies, or related technology  in the water, municipal water, petrochemical, specialty chemical, oil & gas, mining, nuclear waste water remediation, industrial biotech or environmental services sectors.

Experience interfacing with and contracting with engineering firms.  Ability to lead and manage an internal team of engineers and researchers along with an external team of contract engineers and consultants.

Ability to assess market conditions and step into sales, marketing and business development roles as needed and determine technological direction based on economic conditions.

 

A high degree of entrepreneurial and strategic skill leading an early-stage organization.

 

Experience building, and leading engineering, R&D, and Sales & Marketing teams.

 

A technical degree (mechanical or chemical with chemical preferred) PhD would be advantageous.
