Michael Baker Jr., Inc. a top 40 ENR (Engineering-News Record) design firm is seeking a Project Engineer with bridge/roadway design experience to support New York City DOT projects.
Qualifications include a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering with 5 years of Bridge Design experience required. NYS PE or the ability to obtain one within 6 months required. Minimal knowledge of AutoCad and/or Microstation required. Knowledge of Staad, MathCad preferred.
This position is for a Project Engineer on a New York City DOT Roadway Bridges Project. This individual will be responsible for the day to day performance of all project related activities including the design of all bridge componets as well as preparation of Advanced Detail Plans. The project Engineer is responsible for coordinating with the client Project Engineer as well supervising junior staff to assure all work is done to both the Client and Baker Standards. Important that the individual be a team player and willing to assist on other projects as the need arises.
