We are seeking a Credit Operations Analyst to join our team in Walpole, Massachusetts.  This unique role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing credit applications to ensure the proper establishment of credit lines and customer structures based on company policy, while also developing systems and reports under the direction of the department manager. 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Review and analyze new account requests for both open and credit-card based accounts.  Process credit applications to render credit decisions.  Set-up and maintain accounts in SAP, as well as scoring and/or credit card interface systems as needed.

 

  • Develop systems and reporting to assist with management of a complex account base, including collection goals, stratification by risk, and aging performance reporting.

 

  • Assign and administer credit for small to moderate sized accounts utilizing a custom, credit scoring program.  Conduct quarterly scoring runs with the credit agency and upload information to SAP system to re-evaluate credit lines and to prepare related control reports.  Conduct credit reviews on large accounts, including analysis of financial statements, banking, credit background and history, and suits/liens/judgments.

 

  • Administer and further develop enhancements to credit card merchant interfaces as well as online payment systems.

 

  • Responsible for projects to ensure the cross-functional data integrity for customer master data in SAP, including streamlining credit accounts, payers, and bill-to information.

 

  • Analyze and administer collection efforts for delinquent accounts including filing claims to 3rd party collection agencies or insurance companies, evaluating write-off requests as well as tracking Accounts Receivable clean-up initiatives, and maintaining the collection accounts database for the credit and collections team.

 

This position will be a critical member of a developing credit and collection team, and will have the important task of establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with the customer service team, sales team and customers to deliver industry-leading customer satisfaction. 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business field of study required, Accounting/Finance degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years commercial credit experience in a fast-paced, ERP systems-based environment.  Experience in the consumer products industry, preferably in a food/beverage, direct-to-store supply chain environment
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, time management, customer service and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills, such as working knowledge of SAP, including credit and sales transactions and Microsoft Office products, especially a demonstrated level of proficiency with Excel
  • Previous experience with credit card systems, credit insurance policies and credit agencies important
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and within a team, be self-motivated, goal oriented and have a strong attention to detail
