Description

Horizon Health, a National leader in the management of acute, inpatient physical rehabilitation programs, in partnership with St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT, has an exciting opportunity for a Program Director of a 15-bed acute rehab unit.

 

The Program Director is responsible for the maintenance of the contractual relationship and the overall administration of patient care for the 15-bed acute inpatient physical rehab program. Included in these responsibilities are:

 

1) The development and maintenance of a high-quality treatment program;

 

2) The development and implementation of a comprehensive community relations program;

 

3) Strategic planning, program administration, and development

 

Average daily census is approximately 8 to 10 patients per day with average length of stay of approximately 12 days. Majority of patients (up to 40%) have strokes or orthopedic conditions. Remainder comprised of brain and spinal cord injury, and other neuro.

 

Missoula is a thriving community of 96,000 people, only 3 hours south of Glacier National Park and 3 1/2 hours west of Yellowstone National Park. It is surrounded by National Forests and Wilderness areas and has varied opportunities to ski, fly fish, golf, hike, or simply enjoy the outdoors. Requirements

1) Must have 3-5 years experience working in an inpatient acute physcial rehab program in a hospital.

 

2) Physical Rehab experience a must.

 

3) Communication/Interpersonal Skills:

Demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication. Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

 

4) Education/Development/Initiative:

Maintains education and development appropriate for position.

 

5) Hospital/Department Policies & Procedures:

Adheres to established hospital and department guidelines & protocols.
