LOCAL SALES MANAGER

Job Functions:

• Supervise team of Local Account Executives
• Understand the markets, the competitive landscape, and market health.
• Provide revenue forecasts.
• Accompany Account Executives as needed on client calls locally.
• Meet and exceeding revenue budgets, including project budgets.
• Monitor rates and package prices while managing inventory to assure delivery and when possible exceed revenue budgets.
• Maximize multi-platform sales opportunities for both Univision and TeleFutura.
• Develop strategies to achieve organizational goals, and identify external threats and opportunities by analyzing market and competition.
• Determine sales priorities and work closely with Univision Interactive Media to maximize integrated revenue.
• Collaborate with Research Manager in the development of information, presentations, and sales tools.
• Build strong relationships with clients and advertising agencies.
• Work with the Traffic Director to prioritize inventory placement in oversold situations.
• Must be able to write presentations, edit existing presentations, and understand research specific to the industry.
• Must have the ability to work well under pressure in a revenue goal and deadline-driven environment.

Education:  Bachelor degree in marketing, advertising, or business degree preferable.

Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a broadcast sales capacity.

Other requirements:

·         Knowledge of advertising agencies, Nielsen ratings and very strong negotiating and
          selling skills is required.

·         Industry utilized research including NSI, NHSI, Scarborough, TNS, CMR and Matrix.

·         Bi-lingual English/Spanish both written and spoken is highly preferable.

·         Must be able to drive and have a valid North Carolina driver’s license as well as a good
          driving record.
