Description
The Account Service Rep will generate revenue from existing accounts, by promoting and building strong customer relations within their assigned territory while collecting used (dirty) medical and surgical devices for recycling, reprocessing and re selling.
In this position you will spend 90% of your time in the field, calling on the hospitals and surgical centers
You will be traveling by car or public transportation on a daily basis.
Although you are part of a team of sales and service reps in your area you will work alone with no supervision; therefore, self confidence and self motivation are absolutely essential to be a successful Account Manager.
The Ideal candidate for this position is someone with strong outside sales/service experience with clinical knowledge of medical devices.
All work is done inside hospitals; you will work closely with numerous healthcare facility departments (Operating Room, Central Supply, Nursing, Environmental services, Physicians, Surgeons) and other end users of single use medical devices to maintain and increase program participation.
You will conduct in-service training and business reviews with hospital staff.
Excellent computer skills are required to run reports and maintain an online schedule of your collections.
You will be provided a company laptop and cell phone.

REQUIREMENTS
- Confident, self motivated and results oriented.
- Knowledge of medical devices is preferred.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal).
- B2B sales experience
- Effective problem-solving and sound decision-making skills.
- Experienced in negotiation and mediation skills.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking through development of action plans to address concerns with key accounts.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet and Intranet, and Database.
- Proven success in Outside sales/service.
- Business, Sales, Marketing and clinical skills combined with action orientation skills.
- Strong Team building and problem solving skills.
- Time management skills and able to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to train other team members.
- Familiar with the Total Account Manager Business model.
EDUCATION
- Minimum 2 year degree (Prefer a BS) in Business, Healthcare, or closely related field.
- Prefer someone who has worked in healthcare environment such as a hospital or surgical center (materials handling, surgical technician, LPN, C.N.A.)
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work is performed in healthcare facilities (hospitals and surgical centers) exposing the employee to various odors, sights and sounds.
- Requires the use of personal protective equipment (gloves, safety glasses, scrubs) when handling contaminated medical devices to avoid exposure to health hazards.
- Walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling are required while collecting and packaging devices.
- Requires use of public transportation or your own personal vehicle to travel between customers.
- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. frequently.
COMPENSATION
- Annual Base Salary $40,000-$45,000 with all preferences
- Annual Commission of $20,000 - $25,000 with all preferences
- Mileage Reimbursement
