Description
HealthSpring, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, is one of the country's largest coordinated care plans with a primary focus on the Medicare Advantage market. HealthSpring currently owns and operates Medicare Advantage plans in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas and also offers a national stand-alone Medicare prescription drug plan.
Responsible for selling Medicare products and services. May make sales presentation to potential qualified Medicare participants at their homes, doctors’ offices, etc. using approved governmental guidelines. Will initiate sales opportunities with seniors – individually or in groups – to sell individual Medicare Advantage policies. Makes on-site presentations to prospective seniors or senior groups to increase enrollment. Qualifies prospects on site per CMS Regulations and closes sale if possible.
Develops sales opportunities with Medicare and Medicare / Medicaid eligible individuals by means of personal referrals and business partner referrals. Delivers the approved HealthSpring Medicare Advantage presentation to both personally developed referral appointments and to HealthSpring furnished pre-set appointments. Responsible for generating own leads. Completes and submits enrollment forms for closed sales. Responsible for tracking sales calls and results. Communicates information accurately and timely to customers. Attends all planned sales meetings and department meetings. Must work in the call center conducting telephonic enrollments, handling incoming calls and responding to business reply cards to generate leads.
Requirements
High School diploma. More than one year experience selling life and health insurance. Current Producer’s License for Health in the applicable state. At least one year of Medicare sales experience (i.e., Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplements, Final Expense “Life", Long-term Care Insurance, Annuities). Written and oral communication is accurate and timely and at the appropriate level. Negotiating ability. Self motivated to generate leads and follow up on them.
Preferred Requirements:
Three or more years sales experience.
