Instructional Design Services
We are looking for a Director of Instructional Services to supervise and guide the instructional services team in building top quality online educational programs for university clients. The Director of Instructional Services will participate as a member of the Senior Management Team, develop and manage relationships with clients and consultants, and remain current on leading-edge instructional design methodologies and technologies.
Applicants must have management experience in hiring staff, implementing departmental budgets and performance, overseeing training and development, and conducting annual performance evaluations. The Director of Instructional Services must accept personal responsibility for managing projects, job performance; must be self-motivated professional, and work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate is well-organized, dedicated, accurate, thorough, punctual, and meticulous attention to detail and follow-through.
Requirements
Requirements:
· Master’s degree in the area of Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
· 6+ years of work experience in higher education is required, with an emphasis on e-learning and multimedia technologies.
· 5+ years experience managing and motivating teams in a production environment, preferably in instructional services roles to higher education.
· Collaborative communication style with the proven ability to lead by example and influence
· Advanced skills in authoring course sites in Blackboard, Blackboard Campus Edition (f.k.a. WebCT), Angel, and/or other LMS.
· Ability to travel (estimate up to 20%)
