Headway Corporate Resources is currently seeking a HR Assistant in the Tyler, Texas area. The summary of the positon and it's essential duties are noted below.
Summary:
Assist Headway’s On Site Recruiter (OSR) in managing the HR duties for contingent workforce that works from 2:30 to 11:00 PM for Headway’s valued client in Tyler, TX. Position is performed at client site in order to meet the needs of client not only efficiently but also effectively.
Essential duties and responsibilities for assistant position include but are not limited to the following:
- Conducting interviews for evening shifts when needed
- Helping with assorted tasks surrounding:
- Time sheets processing
- Training Class Attendance Log
- Maintain HR presence on call center floor to ensure that scheduled employees are aware of Headway’s interest in their work environment and have someone to go to with any problems that relate to their assignment
- Handling new hire paperwork as required by Headway/client contract agreement
- Creating Employment Kits for Headway (when needed)
- Scanning paper work to Headway (including releases for background checks that need to be sent to Raleigh for processing) when needed
- Assisting with the distribution of survey forms
- Trainers
- Team leads
- Employees / monthly
- Employee / exit interviews as needed
- To be trained on our recruiting system in order to update system with details from Headway New Hire Kit
- Contact new hires to remind them of upcoming training class
- Verification of employment
- Assist OSR with special projects
- Respond to all inquires in a timely, pleasant and professional manner
- Establish positive working relationship with client contacts, managers, trainers, team leads and Headway OSR and assistant, and Headway employees
- Abide by all company (Headway) and client policies
- Involvement in other related activities as needed or as directed by OSR
Suggested hours per week: 40
Length of assignment: through upcoming hiring/training classes, classes scheduled through end of August 2010, schedule subject to change)
Skills required:
• HR generalist background (recruiting, benefits, general HR issues)
• Good clerical skills
• Attention to detail
• Professional phone voice and verbal skills
• Computer literate (word, excel, internet savvy)
• Positive attitude, must like working with people
