Description

  

Supports the maintenance, migration, and implementation for of all N-Tier enterprise applications on various technical platforms.  Position supports the corporate business community utilizing the various financial applications, managing problem resolution, and recommending strategic growth and support.





Responsibilities:

·         Providing 24x7 on-call emergency support for severity one issues and other business critical situations in a fast paced environment. These systems include enterprise software for finance, treasury and tax operations.

·         PeopleSoft EnterpriseOne formerly JDEdwards OneWorld specific responsibilities.

·         Provide JD Edwards One-World performance analysis and tuning

·         Application of Service Packs, Cumulative Updates, version upgrades, package building and deployment.

·         Build deployment packages as necessary to deploy updated code to the client workstations

·         Maintain OneWorld base code, middleware services, print and process queues.

·         Configure OneWorld’s business functions and batch applications to execute on various platforms.

·         Maintain security.

·         Completes technical implementation and migration of upgrades, patches, code releases, and database changes for the various enterprise applications.

·         Interacts daily with user community, business analysts, infrastructure team, developers, and managers to support the applications, resolve issues, and recommend strategic application growth.

·         Responsible for creating necessary technical, user, and system documentation.

·         Responsible for driving business and functional requirements to enough technical details for system implementations.

·         Is technical resource for application support procedures, policies, and technology.

·         Follow a strict methodology and process for change control, application support, and escalation.

·         Responsible for working with the software development team in implementing, design, supporting, and monitoring custom integrations and applications.

·         Migrates custom code, integrations, and interfaces to the production environment for the software development team following stringent Sarbanes Oxley change control requirements.

·         Not responsible for maintaining Windows OS, server hardware, network, and/or database administration.

·         Monitoring of various batch, DTS, file, FTP, HTTPS, and related integration jobs utilizing Windows Event Log, NetIQ, Windows NT Scheduler and various commercial-off-the-shelf scheduling tools and utilities.

·         Administrator for various applications including business data administration, configuration/setup, report writing, and security administration.

 

Requirements

·         Five or more years of experience installing, implementing, and supporting PeopleSoft Enterprise One formerly JDEdwards OneWorld in a Windows-based infrastructure.

·         Ability to multi-task, will be required to work on various projects.

·         Experience working with Business Analysts and Developers to provide solutions which further enhance the application and provide the business user with an improved product

·         Comfortable with Windows operating system, install/uninstalling applications and the various components associated with the applications compiled in Visual Basic, C++, and Java.

·         Support, manage and deploy large scale applications based on technologies such as Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS), BEA Weblogic, Cognos, and WebSphere.

·         Ability to create and maintain clearly written technical, user, and system documentation.

·         Possess strong problem solving skills and customer service attitude and focus.  Be able to follow-up with managers, peers, and customers on all projects and efforts.

·         Good team player with excellent communications (oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.

·         Familiarity with an array business technologies (operating systems, security, networking, programming, databases, etc).  Required to troubleshoot basic operating, security, and networking issues that could impact the application, performance, and or user access.

·         Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL Server including Query Analyzer, Enterprise Manager, installation, configuration, DTS, SSIS, BCP, database backups/restores, stored procedures, and database maintenance.

·         Basic understanding of Windows-based Oracle including SQLPlus/Toad, Enterprise Manager, installation, configuration, database exports/imports, stored procedures, and database maintenance.

·         Familiar with troubleshooting and repairing basic micro-computer hardware, components, and accessories.

·         Experience with Project Management and methodologies to successful product delivery

·         Familiar with the Sarbanes Oxley control environment and change control processes preferred.

·         Ability to produce error-free and well tested solutions that meet requirements.

·         Experience with Net IQ monitoring tool preferred but not required.

·         A motivated self-starter that is able to work independently and in teams on tasks and projects with limited supervision.

·         Energy industry background preferred but not required.

·         Preferred experience with applications such as:  Concur, Kronos, Integrity and Outlooksoft.
