St. Anthony Home, a 198 bed long-term care community, located in Crown Point, Indiana has a unique opportunity available for their Director of Life Enrichment.  The incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing and directing the campus’ activity programs, community outings and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the department.  Additionally, will develop multilevel activity programs for the senior population including those with cognitive impairments.

• Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy preferred
• 2-3 years of recreational therapy experience in a LTC setting
• CTRS status or eligibility to sit for certification exam
• Previous managerial experience
• Certified Recreational Therapist preferred

Other requirements:

This position requires the ability lead the department of three associates; possess knowledge of MDS assessment, process, and care plans.  Possess knowledge of current federal and state regulations, as well as uphold professional standards.  A high level of energy, commitment and initiative is a must with the flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
