Job Description for Data Analyst
The Data Analyst is responsible for generating reports and data extracts from all Credit Union. Assumes responsibility for the creation and production of analytical data to be used for informational and planning purposes. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining working relationships with outside business contacts.

Job Requirements for Data Analyst
The Data Analyst should be a motivated and organized individual with substantial experience working with large databases within the financial institution industry.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Using Microsoft Access to generate reports and data extracts.
- Using Crystal Reports.
- Writing queries using SQL.
- Programming experience a plus.
- Good organizational skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all data and business information.
Education and Experience
- BS/IS or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working at a financial institution or similar field.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruments in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Technology Proficiency
To perform this job, the employee must possess applicable technology skills and demonstrated expertise. The requirements for this job include the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other Microsoft Office applications, as well as the ability to learn new applications quickly; requires general knowledge of network and strong understanding of relational database use.
