We are currently seeking applicants for our Manager position to join our Evanston, IL or San Mateo, CA office. Qualified candidates will possess the skills detailed below and relevant work experience.
Managers leverage their experience to take responsibility for projects and lead client relationships immediately. Leaders enter ZS either as generalists across practice areas or industries, or as specialists within one area. As a Manager, you will:
- Manage projects and client relationships
- Drive business and strategy development
- Direct multiple projects simultaneously, honing analytic and project management skills
- Motivate, coach and serve as a role model for project team members
- Provide thought leadership and innovation within projects and across practice areas
What opportunities exist at ZS?
ZS project teams are usually composed of two to four people drawn from different levels of the firm. Working with small teams on major consulting assignments encourages a close working relationship with ZS Consultants, Managers, Associate Principals, Principals and clients. The exposure to clients encourages an understanding of the critical questions facing sales and marketing executives.
ZS provides organized training, which continues as on-the-job learning. Upon joining, a New Employee Orientation provides information on basic tools, resources and key ZS practice areas. In addition, several training sessions are offered each month, ranging from broad business topics to specific technical instruction. A Professional Development Manager will provide career guidance, and project performance evaluation will help identify areas for innovation and growth. As analytic and technical skills grow, so do project management opportunities. As your career advances, your active participation in business and strategy development grows. Over time you may choose to specialize in a particular practice area or perhaps focus on managing an on-going client relationship.
The person in this position will be responsible for expanding our Marketing Services for our Medical Products Practice and will focus on developing strategies to assist our clients and ensure marketing effectiveness. Candidate will work across multiple practice areas including Go-to-Market Strategy, Value Proposition Development, Market Segmentation and Targeting, Marketing Effectiveness, Marketing Research and Opportunity Assessment.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
We are seeking candidates who have the following experience:
- MBA or PhD in Marketing, Economics, Decision Sciences
- 7-9 years of marketing and professional consulting experience
- 5-7 years of medical device product industry experience (or working with clients in the medical device industry)
- Significant client management and leadership experience
