District Manager - Florida

Thomasville Home Furnishings, the creator of beautiful Home Interiors for more than 100 years, seeks to fill the position of FLORIDA DISTRICT MANAGER.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the District Manager is responsible for the overall management of multiple stores and service center locations. Responsibilities include:
- Development of sales and profits of assigned stores and service center
- Review P&L statements monthly
- Supervise and evaluate activities of all management within the district
- Provide guidance and assistance to key personnel
- Implement company policies and procedures; monitor compliance
- Provide training for management and assist them with the development of their people
- Recruit creatively to attract top performers
Objectives of the District Manager are to achieve sales goals while maintaining satisfactory profit performance, gross margin, inventory levels, and customer service.
Requirements include a BS or BA degree in business with courses in areas such as accounting, management or the equivalent; five or more years in retail sales management and merchandising; previous budget responsibility; multi store management experience is preferred; must be able to work holidays, weekends and evenings and must be able to travel within the district with limited overnight travel.
