Job Description 

Onsite Household Hazardous Waste Technician Orange County:

 

This position can be located at any of the four hazardous waste collection sites located in Orange County. The Apollo Technician reports directly to the Technical Services General Manager, with on-site supervision by the Apollo Program Manager and is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with handling of hazardous materials on a customer site.

You will be responsible for unloading, hazardous household waste at a county collection site as directed, conduct chemical bulking/consolidation as required and will be responsible for proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance You will also ensure work area maintained in a neat and orderly manner, participate in spill response on customer’s site as needed and attend all compliance and safety update meetings.

 

The collection center is open Tuesday-Saturday.

Job Requirements 

A high school diploma, forklift experience and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds is required. Hazwoper certificate is a plus
