The Director, Grants Management will provide financial expertise in procurement and accounting for grants from public and private stakeholders.  The Director will ensure that all grants are accounted for and reported consistent with OMB circulars and Financial Standards.  In addition, the Director will oversee the Corporation’s cash management and banking process and will direct the work of others.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain grant reporting to public and private stakeholders and ensure that reporting is timely and accurate.

  • Develop and maintain a grant request system for advance funding to ensure proper and timely receipt of cash.

  • Determine and maintain a proper indirect cost allocation rate applicable to grants in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local requirements.

  • Monitor all updates in OMB circulars and financial standards in order to maintain compliance with all grant requirements.

  • Direct and assist in all grant audits.

  • When necessary, oversee and assist with the Cash Management and Banking process.

  • Assist in resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.

  • Participate in financial department cross-departmental review of work product.

  • Develop and maintain process reviews/internal controls that support the functions in the Directors area of responsibility.

  • Responsibilities are not all inclusive, additional duties may be assigned.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.

  • CPA preferred.

  • A minimum of 10+years of public/private accounting experience required, preferably in grant administration. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft® Office Suite applications.
