Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Retail Sales Specialist for the client in your local market and surrounding area, you will be working closely with the client’s Associates, Department Supervisors, and Store Manager. You will be responsible for taking ownership of your local market and your assigned stores. On a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, you will be required to ensure the following:
· Work Schedule is Wednesday thru Sunday from 10:00am - 7:00pm
· Plan and manage your Territory for maximum efficiency.
· Conduct onsite Sales Day visits on a daily basis to increase sales and educate store employees about new and current promotional activities
· Create a superior customer experience by ensuring every customer interaction is positive and professional
· Build and maintain strong relationships with your assigned stores through personal integrity, sales, and product expertise
· One on one interaction with the customer to offer high level of service
· Makes sound judgments regarding services, company policies and procedures to help achieve Retail Store and Clients’ sales goals
· Provide new marketing materials and stimulate sales of the Client’s products and services through training with store employees.
· Overnight travel required- 50-70%
· There will be minimal merchandising in the program.
· Submit reports within 24 hours of conducting field activities on web-based reporting system
Qualifications:
· Must be extremely organized and have extraordinary time management skills
· Must be able to demonstrate strong and effective selling skills
· Must be able to build strong working relationships with managers, Sales Associates, and others in the industry
· Pursues work with insatiable energy and drive
· Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to initiate dialogue and engage sales personnel and consumers
· Must be able to attend all-expenses paid training conventions twice a year with entire Team for team-building and skills training
· Must be willing to commit to the position for a minimum of one year
· Must be flexible enough to respond positively to changes in schedule based on the needs of the Client
· Must own a digital camera
· Working knowledge of basic consumer audio/video setups and operations highly desired
· Working knowledge of the satellite and cable television industry and technology highly desired
· Must be able to lift 20-30 pounds from time to time
· Working and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Job Requirements:
· Strong time management skills
· Must own a working laptop
· Direct Sales, Retail Sales, Assisted Sales Experience, preferably in consumer electronics/broadband technology/wireless technology
· MUST be willing to travel (with overnights), including air travel to nationwide cities
· Some College, College Degree preferred (Marketing, Business, or Communications preferred)
· Training experience in both informal and formal settings
· Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times when representing the client
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Reliable transportation: i.e. personal car for transportation to stores/events on a daily basis
· Commitment to length of the program
· Flexible schedule including in-market and some out-of-market travel as assigned
