Description
We are looking for a driven for success salesperson to make in field sales calls on a daily basis independently, and with Journal News local print representatives. Online sales representatives must manage accounts on a daily basis including creative ad copy, upsells, monitoring traffic and visibility. You will also be asked to work with all sales departments to provide sales support and presentations for new and existing clientele.
You must understand newspaper and online products and how these products provide value to advertisers, as well as the processes, practices and policies involved in selling advertising.
The objective will be for you to grow revenue and create new revenue streams by developing new business and maximizing business with assigned accounts within a geographical sales territory.
Candidates must have previous sales experience, preferably internet and/or publishing. Ability to work independently, highly proactive, able to bring project to fruition in a sales environment
Excellent communication skills, high comfort level in developing and presenting new media sales presentations. Working knowledge of computer software applications including Netscape, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
A valid driver license, and regular access to a motor vehicle is a must!
