Job Description

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Field Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations which may include staffing, scheduling, ensuring maintenance of equipment and supplies, internal communications, budgetary considerations, outside agency interface, and community relations

 

  • Supervise the day- to- day activities of all field operations
  • Participate actively in motivating and developing field personnel as well as providing the model for teamwork and leadership within the group
  • Act as local risk management point of contact
  • Work with Regional Human Resources Department in handling personnel issues
  • Coordinate MCI's and hazardous material incidents
  • Conduct inspections
  • Provide advanced life support patient care and ambulance transportation
  • Comply with all Company, local, state and federal policies, procedures, guidelines and laws
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time to include (but not limited to) safety management, disaster program coordination, scheduling, etc
 

Job Requirements

  • Current Washington Paramedic certification or eligible for reciprocity
  • Valid Washington State Drivers license
  • Acceptable driving record in accordance with AMR's driving policy
  • EMS field experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skill required
  • Prior supervisory or crew chief experience strongly preferred
  • Experience using computers, including word processing and spreadsheet software applications preferred
